The Board of the Holberg Prize

The Board of the Holberg Prize is responsible for all activities and events related to the Holberg Prize and awards the prizes based on the recommendations of the Academic Committees.

The Board appoints members for the academic committees and is responsible for ensuring that other objectives are met in accordance with the statutes for the Holberg Prize.

Appointment of Board Members

The University of Bergen appoints the Board of the Holberg Prize. The board members represent different academic fields and institutions in Norway, and at least one member must work outside the university and higher education sector.

Board Members are appointed for a period of four years and may be reappointed once. The government regulations concerning gender representation apply to the appointment of board members.
