The Official Award Ceremony for the Holberg Prize and the Nils Klim Prize.
The 2024 Holberg Prize is awarded to Cameroonian scholar Achille Mbembe for his groundbreaking work in the fields of history and political theory. The 2024 Nils Klim Prize is awarded to Siddharth Sareen for his research in environmental social sciences.
Oddmund Hoel, Norwegian Minister of Research and Higher Education, will confer both Prizes.
The Award Ceremony will be followed by a short reception.
