Simona Zetterberg-Nielsen was awarded the 2023 Nils Klim Prize. On 7th November, 2024, she will organize the conference “The Rise of Science and Fiction” at Aarhus University.

The Rise of Science and Fiction

Organized by Centre for the Rise of Science and Fiction.

Today, we often view science and fiction as incompatible phenomena that belong to
separate disciplines or even segregated cultures. Based on work in Centre for the Rise
of Science and Fiction and invited experts, the conference challenges this division by
investigating the relationship between science and fiction during the Enlightenment
period to show their mutual influence.
