Vilde Seip Frydenlund from Valler Upper Secondary School came in first place in the Holberg School Programme with her research project “But You Don’t Look Ill”.
Vilde Seip Frydenlund’s project “But You Don’t Look Ill” sheds light on CFS/ME patients’ experiences with the Norwegian health care system. Although the majority of experiences shared by the student’s informants are negative, some refer to positive encounters with the health care system. The student links this to the individual health care professionals’ knowledge of the illness, which together with a general understanding and a more compassionate approach may improve the patients’ quality of life.
